Abstract

Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder that is characterized by three main behavioral symptoms including social interaction, communication, and repetitive behavior. Omega 3 is a polyunsaturated fatty acid which has many benefits for the growth and development of intelligence. Gratus sea (Emerita emeritus) is an animal that contains omega 3 in it. Omega 3 in powder Gratus sea has proven to be able to provide a beneficial effect in improving brain function and amelorasi behavior of the symptoms shown by the child with autism disorders caused by acidic valproate, this research aims to know the powder Gratus sea can reduce the process of occurrence of autism. This research uses mice tail 25 which are divided into 5 groups, each group consists of 5 rats. Group 1 normal controls, the negative control Group II (valproat acid 8 mg/20 g bb). Groups III, IV and V is the Group's treatment with powder Gratus sea dose of 1300 mg/kg, 1950 mg/kg and 2600 mg/kg. Induced with acid valproat performed on mice are age 14 days later, 15 to 35 were given a powder Gratus sea in dose groups. Autism test observations done by two methods, namely repetitive behaviors (repeated behaviours) and Intelegensia. Research results from test (Repetive behaviors) and Intelegensia indicate that pollen Gratus sea (Emerita emeritus) dose of 1300 mg/kg, 1950mg/kg 2600mg/kg and can reduce the occurrence of autism. A dose that provides a decrease in the normal dose is equivalent to 2600 mg/kg Keywords: gratus sea, autism, omega 3, acids valproat Repetive behaviors, intelligensia
