Abstract

Ketoprofen is a medicine that has low solubility in the water and has a less pleasant taste. The disadvantage of ketoprofen in conventional tablets is patients of geriatrc having difficulty swallowing tablets, to overcome these problems made an alternative to FDT ketoprofen in the β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex. The goal of this research is to know the influence combination of superdisintegrant crospovidone Cl and croscarmellose sodium toward physical quality test tablet and extrication of drug FDT ketoprofen in the β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex Making inclusion complex of ketoprofen in β-siklodekstrin using molar ratio 1:1 by kneading method and characterized by FTIR and DSC. The concentration variations of superdisintegrant crospovidone Cl dan croscarmellose sodium were 0:100%, 25:75%, 50:50%, 75:25%, 100:0% in FDT ketoprofen β-siklodekstrin incorporated by direct-induced method. The test is conducted to know the physical quality of FDT ketoprofen that are hardness, fragility, wetting time, disintegration time, and dissolution. The results show there is a rise solubility 3, 15x of ketoprofen solubility. The rise of crospovidone Cl gives a larger influence because it can make porous tablets when contact with water therefore the tablet faster wettish, when combine with lower sodium croscarmellose will decrease wetting time 13,07 seconds, disintegration time 11,38 seconds, and increase the medicine release 101,8%. The combination of superdisintegrant crospovidone Cl and croscarmellose sodium (75:25%) can provide qualified physical properties of the quality of FDT ketoprofen in the best β-siklodekstrin inclusion complex.
