Abstract

Pneumonia was still a major health problem for adults especially in developing countries. This disease was one cause of death in the world every year. In Indonesia cases of pneumonia reach 22,000 inhabitants. In Central Java, the prevalence of pneumonia in 2010 reached 26.76%. The case of pneumonia for the Surakarta region in 2017 has a high prevalence of 299 in adulthood. Protein C-Reactive Examination (CRP) is necessary in assisting the diagnosis of pneumonia, but CRP examination can help monitor the condition of the patient's pneumonia whether the medication is working properly or not. This study aims to determine the level of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in patients with pneumonia in BBKPM. This research was conducted on April 9th to April 21st, in blood lab, Non-TB special 6 room in BBKPM and lab lab 11 Setia Budi University Surakarta. The data used in this research are qualitative data, semi quantitative data and supporting data from CRP examination. Data analysis used with presentation of percentage and table. The CRP results showed that 20 samples obtained CRP positive prevalence of 16 samples (80%) and negative CRP of 4 samples (20%) with positive C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels ranged from 12 mg/l to 48 mg/l .
