Abstract
Pain in most cases is a symptom that serves as a danger signal about tissue disruption, such as inflammation, microorganism infection or muscle spasms. This study aims to determine the activity of analgesic, effective dose, and the result of clover leaves extract in male white mouse (mus musculus) using tail flick method and sigmund method. Clover leaves extracted with remaseration method using ethanol 70% as the solvents. Analgetic activity test analyzed using white male mice were divided into 5 groups: groups of control are negative (CMC), positive (Tramadol and Mefenamic acid), and dose extract of clover leaves 100 mg/Kg BB, 200 mg/Kg BB, and 400 mg/Kg BB. In the tail flick method the tail of the mice is irradiated until the mice snap its tail and then calculate the reaction time. In the Sigmund method the mice were induced using acetic acid, the observed pain parameter is the amount of writhing. The data obtained were analyzed statistically by One Way Anova test. The results of the research showed that clover leaves dose 400 mg/Kg BB which provides optimal analgesic activity on the tail flick method. Meanwhile, by using Sigmund method which gives optimal analgetik activity is ethanol extract of clover leaf dose 200 mg/Kg BB.
