Abstract

Sugarcane Juice is one of the most favorite drink of the Indonesian people. This drink which many found on the roadside vulnerable polluted by the pathogenic bacteria that can cause infection or disease for those who consume it. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the pathogenic microorganisms which contained in the sugarcane juice that sold on the roadside. The testing of this study was conducted in the Laboratory of Setia Budi University in March 2018. The testing used 5 sample of sugarcane juice that was took randomly from the seller in the roadside. The testing of sugarcane juice included identification of Escherichia coli bacterial and identification of Salmonella sp bacterial. Based on the results on the identification of the bacteria Escherichia coli obtained 2 of 5 samples tested positive containing the presence of Escherichia coli, whereas in the identification of Salmonella sp. obtained results 2 of 5 positive samples containing the presence of Salmonella sp..
