Abstract
Hypertension is an abnormally high blood pressure. This disease is associated with decreasing life expectancy and the one of the biggest risk factors causing morbidity and mortality in cardiovascular disease. Therefore, it is needed therapy precision to suppress the morbidity rate. One aspect associated with that, is the rational use of medicine. The evaluation of antihypertensive drug use is to ensure the rational use of medicine in people with hypertension. This research aims to obtain descriptions of the use of antihypertensive drug and rational use of antihypertensive drug on hypertensive patients in Inpatient Unit of RSUD Ir.SOEKARNO, Sukoharjo Regency in 2016. This was non-experimental research in the form of a retrospective survey conducted through the medical records of patients with hypertension who were hospitalized in 2016 at RSUD Ir. SOEKARNO Sukoharjo Regency. This study was conducted by calculating the use of antihypertensive drug and evaluating the rational use of antihypertensive drugs in hypertensive patients based on the precise patient, precise indication, precise drug, and precise dose. It was obtained the data from 51 patients compared to Hospital Formulary and guideline JNC VIII. The results show that the use of antihypertensive drugs based on Hospital Formulary 92 % and the most use antihypertensive drugs is Amlodipin 11,76 % and combination of 2 drugs (amdolipin and captopril) 31,37%. The evaluation on rational use of hypertensive drug on hypertensive patients is as follows: 100% precise patient, 100% precise indication, 100% precise drug, and 27.45% precise dose.
