Abstract
In adolescence, peers have a very important role in the development of adolescents. They intertwine this friendship that serves to simultaneously in active together. At this time usually adolescent tendency to perform deviant behavior that is bullying. In bullying there are three components, namely the perpetrators, victims, and bystanders in this study, researchers examined bystander behavior related to scarcity of helping victims of bullying and tolerance as a bystander in individual. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between tolerance bystander to help victims of bullying behavior in adolescents, to determine the level of tolerance and a bystander to determine how high to help victims of bullying behavior on the subject to be studied. This study uses quantitative methods and the sample collection is done by Stratification Random Sampling. The hypothesis is a positive relationship between tolerance bystander to help victims of bullying behavior in adolescents. Subjects in this study were students of class X, XI, XII SMAN Colomadu Karanganyar were 96 students with ages 15 years to 18 years which consisted of 34 male students-male and 62 female students. The scale used to collect data is bystander tolerance scale and scale to help victims of bullying behavior. The method used for data analysis is the product moment correlation from Karl Pearson. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of Гxy = 0801, p = 0.000 (p <0.001). It proves that there is a positive correlation very significant between tolerance bystander to help victims of bullying behavior on the subject, so that the research hypothesis is accepted. The higher the tolerance, the higher bystander helping the victims of bullying behavior and vice versa. Furthermore, based on the data obtained a high percentage of variable bystander tolerance of 89.58% is included in a high level, while the behavioral variables to help victims of bullying by 50% which is included in the high category.
