Abstract

Ketoprofen is a drug anti inflammatory non steroid which have low solubility in water and high permeability in the intestines so be categorized in biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) class II.This drug was availabing in market with various generics and brands, so occurried of differenced in formulation and fabrication methods. This study attempted to compared between generic products and brand in tablet quality physical test and disolution.The test products used five enteric coated tablets ketoprofen 100 mg distributed in market, there were three merk products (ODA, ODB and ODC) and two generic products (OGD and OGE). Disolution test used a disolution tester type 2 with speed of rotation 50 rpm in medium 900 ml hcl ph 1,2 for 2 hours and then in buffer phospat ph 7,4 for a hour on the temperature 37˚C ± 0,5. The determination of drug concentration used a spektrofotometer uv-vis at wavelengths 259 nm. The results of study on Q45 , DE60 and F2 parameters showed all products were different values. The highest of Q45 parameter were product ODA, the highest of DE60 parameter were OGE. Value F2 similar between products bermerk and generic is ODA with OGD and OGE and also ODB with OGD and OGE.
