Abstract
Resilience is the ability of the idividual, group, or community that makes it possible to avercome the challenges in life, as well as adaptabillity to themselves and the environmet, when faced with difficult problem and codition that exist. Physical disabilities certanly have a great passion in living his life and tryinh to strunggle to rise from difficult circumstances that happened. Physical disabilities who have an internal locus of control are high will tend to rise out of the difficult conditions which have and be able to think more positively about the things that happened. This study aims to determine the relationship between internal locus of control by the resilience of physical disabillities. The research was conducted in BBRSBD Prof. Dr Soeharso Surakarta and is type of quantitaive research with two variabeles, namely the Internal locus of control and resilience. Measuring instrument in this study using an internal locus of control scale and resilience scale (CD-RISC). The sampling technique used is purposiv random sampling. The samples were analyzed by 40 people. Mechanical analysis using Pearson Product Moment analysis using SPSS 17.0. Based on the research results, obtained the correlation coefficient (r) of = 0.407, p = 0.0009 (p < 0.01) between the variables of internal locus of control and the resilience of physical disabilities. From the result of the analysis carried out it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study received. That is, there is a significant positive relationship between internal locus of control with physical disabilites resilience. Key words: Physical Disabilites, Internal Locus of Control, Resilience.
