Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is a type of arthritis affecting the joints and surrounding structures. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of arthritis antirheumatic, to determine the percentage decrease in volume of edema and improvement of the histopathology profile on the legs of rat induced CFA, and effective dose to provide antirheumatic effects of arthritis after given the combination avocado seed and ciplukan plant of etanolic extracts. This study used seven groups of rats, pre-treated each group was given 0,2 ml CFA induced. Group 1 was given avocado seed extract 392 mg / 200 g BW, group 2 was given ciplukan extract 100 mg / 200 g BW, group 3 was given a combination of the avocado seed and ciplukan plant extracts 98 mg / 200 g BW: 75 mg / 200 g BW, group 4 was given a combination of the avocado seed and ciplukan plant extracts 294 mg / 200 g BW: 25 mg / 200 g BW, groups 5 was given a combination of the avocado seed and ciplukan plant extracts 196 mg / 200 g BW: 50 mg / 200 g BW, group 6 was given triamcinolone 0,072 mg / 200 g BW, and group 7 was given CMC 1%. Then measured the volume of edema. The obtained data were analyzed by two way ANOVA (significance at p<0,05). The results showed that the combination of the avocado seed and ciplukan plant extracts can increase the percentage reduction in edema volume, in combination II dose (294 mg / 200 g BW: 25 mg / 200 g BW) has the effect of antirheumatic optimal arthritis. While triamcinolone provide improvement histopathology profile joint with a picture absence of cell infiltration of the joint. The combination of the avocado seed and ciplukan plant extracts given antirheumatic effects of arthritis that was not better than the single dosage of each plant.
