Abstract
Antioxidant compounds reduced aging of the skin. Red dragon fruit peel contained polyphenol compaounds. This research purposed to determine the effect of ethanol concentration variation comparison against yield and antioxidant activity against of the extract of red dragon fruit peel. Red dragon fruit peel is extracted by maceration method using a variation of concentration ethanol 50%, ethanol 70% and 90%. Antioxidant tests carried out using the method of DPPH (1,1-diphynil-2-pikrilhidrazil) reveales in the IC50. The result showed a variation of ethanol concentration effect on yield and antioxidant activity in red dragon fruit peel extract. The concentration of ethanol 50% yield the highest and had the lowest IC50. The percentage yield of ethanol 50% concentration of 13,12%.
