Abstract

Sirih Leaf, mengkudu leaf and cinnamon's trunk are plants which have benefit for antibacterial. This research have purposed to found the activity of the antibacterial from the those third extract toward Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and knew which combination are the most effective used toward ethanol extract to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. The extraction method used in this research was maceration with ethanol 70% for betle leaf and cinnamond's trunks, and ethanol 80% for mengkudu leaf. Antibacterial activity test performed by disc diffusion method which contain extract solution 10µl. The combination of betle, mengkudu, and cinnamon's solution extract (1:1:1), (1:2:1), (2:1:1) and (1:1:2). The concentration of stock solution that used were 30%, 15% and 10%. The result of the inhibition diameter analyzed with SPSS statistical. The solution of the research showed that betle leaf extract, mengkudu leaf extract, cinnamon's trunk extract and combination was (1:1:1),(1:2:1),(2:1:1) and (1:1:2). It was prove that have antibacterial activity toward Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. The result of antibacterial activity shown that the higher of concentration are biger the inhibition produced. Combination of extract betle leaf, mengkudu leaf and cinnamon’s trunk are the most effective inhibited bacteria Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 were (1:1:2) with diameter of inhibition 11,75 mm.
