Abstract
Nifedipine has a low solubility in water because it is included in the BCS class II. Solid dispersion method is used to improve the solubility of nifedipine with PEG polymer 600. The comparison used 1: 2. FDT has the advantage can increase the solubility. This study aims to determine the effect of the combination and comparison of superdisintegrant Crosspovidone Explotab on the physical properties of nifedipine FDT optimum method factorial design. This study used four variation formula Crosspovidone concentration of 25% and 2-8% Explotab with direct Felts methods and testing the determination of the optimum formula FDT nifedipine dispersed PEG 6000 was obtained from the data analysis of the critical points such as hardness, friability, wetting time, time destroyed, perceptive taste test, drug dissolved (Q1), dissolution efficiency (DE30) and FDT release nifedipine optimization desaign factorial trial of the combination Crosspovidone and Explotab using expert desaign trial software version 8.0.6 with the method of factorial Design. The results of the optimization and combination formulas Crosspovidone Explotab obtained optimum formula nifedipine Crosspovidone FDT provides the most dominant influence as the wetting time, friability, hardness, disintegration time in-vitro and in-vivo disintegration time in the FDT nifedipine on the physical properties and drug release.
