Abstract
Microemulsion is a dispersion system developed from emulsion preparations. But characteristic of preparations microemulsion has more advantages than usual emulsion. The characteristics are thermodynamically stable, clear, transparent or translucent, low viscosity, and have a high solubility so it can increase the bioavailability of the drug in the body. This study was aimed to get stable Linseed oil microemulsion formula. The making of Linseed oil microemulsion was done in solubility, assisted by sonication using sonicator. Microemulsion formula testing covering observation organoleptic, pH, viscosity, density, centrifugation, size and polydisperse index globule, and physical stability. The results of the study showed that evaluation linseed oil preparation microemulsion obtained was a measure 131,3nm globule with an index polidisperse 0,352. The result of the observation Linseed oil microemulsion used Tween 80 and cosurfactan PEG 400 showed microemulsion most stable for a month.
