Abstract
Hydrocortisone / hydrocortisone acetate has an indication as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, anogenital proritus (itchy Naus and genitals), and neorodermatitis. Hydrocortisone cream made preparations with varying concentrations stearic acid and TEA. This study aims to make a 1% hydrocortisone cream with variations of stearic acid and TEA basis to determine the physical quality test and stability cream. Research carried out by using a method of making a cream-type M / A. 1% hydrocortisone cream made into 3 formulations with variations base stearic acid and TEA. Cream then tested the stability of the physical quality for 3 weeks covering organoleptic, viscosity, adhesion, dispersive power, and pH probe. Furthermore, the data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA followed by SNK test level of 95%. The results of the study showed that a 1% hydrocortisone cream could be made with a variety of base stocks stearic acid and TEA. 1% hydrocortisone cream with variations base stearic acid and TEA complete the physical quality test and stability in the storage for 3 weeks.
