Abstract
Organizational commitment still becomes important topic in various studies for organizational development; for that reason, this study aimed to study the creation of employee’s organizational commitment through two creating factors: transformational leadership and job characteristics in the employees of Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital. This study employed survey method with quantitative technique. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. The sample used consisted of 200 respondents encompassing the contract employees of Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital. The data obtained was analyzed using SEM program method. Considering the result of analysis, it could be seen that transformational leadership affected positively and significantly the job characteristics in the employees of Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital, and transformational leadership affected positively and significantly the organizational commitment in Dr. Moewardi Local General Hospital, Keywords: Transformation Leadership, Job Characteristics, Organizational Commitment.
