Abstract

Bussines competition of rent car in Ceper, Klaten in very intens. In a subdistrict in Ceper, Klaten there are 11 rent car componies of the same type of cars. Based on the fact, KHASANAH TRANS as a new company in rent car has to have appropriate marketing strategies to compete. This reseach was done by distributing a questionnaire to consumers of KHASANAH TRANS for 4 month. Then I can validity test and reliability test of the questionnaire data collected. The data verified by validity and reliability test were then devided in to Internal Factor Strategies (IFS) and Eksternal Factor Strategies (EFS), bassed on the analysis result, the IFS and EFS scored 2,8 and 3,01 respectively. Based on the company position analysis using SWOT analysis KHASANAH TRANS was in quadrant 1, that is GROWTH area. The oppropriate strategy in this position were the S-O strategy by using all resources to maximize chance. The S-O strategies KHASANAH TRANS had to perform were: 1) Intensify promotions by displaying its cars on adverstisements with the latest technology. 2) Take care of its car routinely to keep then in good condition. 3) Give drivers English and service etiquete course. 4) Hold event of tours to the newest toursites.
