Abstract
Job performance is a significant factor determining operational sustainability of an institution, including a hospital. Therefore, job performance of employees is a key factor of the sustainability of a hospital. This research aims at examining the effect of job involvement on job performanace mediated by job satisfaction in Dr. Moewardi Public Hospital (RSUD Dr. Moewardi). The research populations were employees in Dr. Moewardi Public Hospital (RSUD Dr. Moewardi).. This research was conducted using survey method with samples of 200 respondents. Purpossive sampling technique was applied in this research. The data were analyzed using hierarchycal regression analysis. The results of data analysis conclude that job involvement has a significant effect on job performance, job involvement gives a significant influence on job satisfaction, and job satisfaction contributes significantly to job involvement and job performance. Thus, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between job involvement and job performance. Key words : job involvement, job satisfaction, job performance
