Abstract
The source of constant blood glucose is an absolute condition for human life. The excessive of the blood glucose can cause hyperglycemi or diabetes melitus. Obese occurs because of the accumulation of excessive fat tissue. This make the fat cells produce substances which can be categorized as adipositokin. Those substances can cause a resistance of the insulin. Obesity is one of the categories in the body mass index. Body mass index is a measurement that shows the relationship between body weight by height, which includes a person’s weight divided by height. The purpose of this study is to know the comparison of glucose bloods amount in a various group of body mass index. The research sample consists of 66 students from Setia Budy University. This research is an analytic observational with cross-sectional design. The data of this research was analyzed with One Way Anova Test. The examination of blood glucose amount is using enzymatic hexokinase method. The data shows that the significant value is 0,042 (p<0.05). It means that there is a difference of glucose bloods amount in those three group of BMI (lean, normal and obese). Keywords: Blood Glucose, Body Mass Index
