Abstract

There are many health problems in Indonesia, one worm infection that is transmitted through the soil by 32.6 % in 2006. Work related to land eg farmers , makers bricks is closely associated with the incidence of infection Soil Transmitted Helminths. First objective’s knowing the relations between knowledge, attitude and practice with the incidence of Soil Transmitted Helminths infection, second to know percentage of Soil Transmitted Helminths infection on brick makers in Joho village, District of Mojolaban Sukaharjo. This research is using a type of research an observation with cross sectional analytic. The sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling so that the total sample of 61 respondents. Data Analyzed using univariate and Bivariat, with Chi Square test with 95% significance level. Results showed that of the 61 makers, 5 respondents were infected with Soil Transmitted Helminths. Conclusion There is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and action with Soil Transmitted Helminths infection incidence in bricks makers in the Joho village District of Mojolaban ,Sukoharjo. Percentage were not infected 91,8% and infected of Soil Transmitted Helminths 8,2%. Keyword: knowledge, attitudes, action, Soil Transmitted Helminths Infection
