Abstract

Working motivation and working discipline are much related with performance of employees. Motivation and discipline are perceived directly by medical workers can reduce or improve performance of the medical workers. The medical workers who are motivated and discipline in their jobs will impact on performance of institution as a whole. Purpose of the research is to know effects of working motivation and working discipline and what factors of them that have impact on performance of medical workers. Data of the research is primary data. Population of the research is all medical workers including laboratory staffs, nurses, physicians, midwives, pharmaceutical staffs, radiology staffs, physiotherapy staffs and medical record staffs amounting to 50 respondents. Sample of the research was taken by using Purposive Sampling. Data was collected by using questionnaire. The data was analyzed by using descriptive-quantitative method, namely multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS 21 for windows. Results of the research based on multiple linear regression indicated that working motivation and working discipline had positive and significant effect on performance of medical workers in PKU Aisyiyah General Hospital of Boyolali. Also, it was known from the results that working motivation had greater effect than working discipline on performance of medical workers.
