Abstract

Education has a very strategic role in building a nation to be capable in facing global competition. This requires schools to be able to perform its functions optimally, thus making schools should be able to make quality improvement and continuous improvement. So far, in Karanggede there has never been a process of measuring efficiency simultaneously between primary schools with one primary school. Therefore, this measurement is considered necessary as a first step in the process of supervision of primary schools in the effort of using resources in the education process. So to measure and compare efficiency among elementary school, this research use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. DEA is a nonparametric methodology based on linear programming and is used to analyze production functions through a production frontier mapping. In this study selected 10 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Karanggede. The results show that all DMUs have an efficiency value of 1 or 100% which means that all DMUs analyzed are efficient. The results of the super efficiency measurement were obtained from the highest DMU rankings are MI Ma'arif Bantengan, then MI Bangkok, MIN Kebonan, MI Tegalsari, MI Mojosari, MI Muhammadiyah 2 Manyaran, MI Muhammadiyah Sempulur, MI Ma'arif Karangkepoh, MI Klumpit, And MI Muhammadiyah 1 Manyaran.
