Abstract

Peanut plants (Arachis hypogea L.) is an annual plant, including Leguminoceae familia. Peanut oil is one that human needs, which are used as food and non-food materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the fat content contained in boiled peanuts and oven peanuts with soxhletasi. The study was conducted using soxhletasi methode with petroleum ether as a solvent where boiled peanuts and oven peanuts that has been smoothed included in the round-bottom flask then added 1,5 circulation of solvent Petroleum eter (± 250 ml), was heated for 8-9 circulation. The results of extraction were weighed to constant weight. Results data were analyzed by t test with a level of 95%. Based on a study of the levels of fat in boiled peanuts and oven peanuts with soxhletasi, founded levels of fat in boiled peanuts for sample A 5.89% and sample B 4.69%. Oven peanuts for sample A and sample B 29.19% 22.32%. There was a significant difference between the levels of fat in boiled peanuts and oven peanuts with the level of confidence 95% Keyword : Peanuts, Boiled peanuts, Oven peanuts, Soxhletasi, Fat
