Abstract
The prevalence of hypertension increases with lifestyle changes such as smoking, obesity, lack of physical activity and psychosocial stress in many countries. Hypertension has become a health problem if not addressed since early stage. Increase compliance and treatment patterns are expected to affect the success of therapy in the form of a decrease in blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This study was conducted to determine the effect of treatment on the pattern of compliance and treatment outcomes in patients with hypertension outpatient clinic of the disease in hospitals Karanganyar period of May - June 2015. This study was an observational study with cross-sectional retrospective study design. Samples were taken with consecutive sampling method. The data is retreived compliance data taken with the questionnaire MMAS, treatment patterns and patient blood pressure values taken from a medical record. Furthermore, the data in descriptive statistical analysis and correlation of test methods. The subjects of this study were obtained in a number of 62 hypertension patient. Result questionnaire MMAS with low adherence 43, moderate adherence 16 and the high compliance rate of compliance 3.Differences effect on systolic blood pressure with a significance level of 0.004 was 0.463 on diastolic. Treatment patterns for diastolic pressure did not affect statistics correlation with blood pressure (> 0.05) in both sistolic and diastolic in hypertensive patients in the Internal Medicine clinic of regional public hospital Karanganyar.
