Abstract
Pneumonia is a common health problems and includes important health problem deu to the high prevalence rate, so the analysis of drug usage needs to be done to measure whether a drug has been used in a rational way. This study was aimed to find out the description of combination antibiotic pediatric pneumonia patients lung hospital dr.Ario Wirawan Salatiga in 2012 and 2013 with ATC/DDD method and Drug Utilization (DU 90%), and the conformity to the Hospital Formulary. This Study used secondary data, i.e. data was retrieved from surveillance of patient’s medical record. This study was a quantitative descriptive study with retrospective data collection. Data of antibiotic usage and hospitalized visit were obtained from Medical Record Installation. All those data were processed to find out the quantity of antibiotic usage in DDD/100day unit and Drug Utilization (DU 90%) profile. The results of this study showed there was of antibiotics used in 2012 (3 type) and 2013(4 type). The quantity of the most used drugs was Gentamicin. There was change of drug usage pattern in 2012 and 2013. Type of antibiotics that conformed to the Hospital Formulary and guideline were Aminoglycosides (gentamicin) and Third generation cephalosporin (cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, ceftazidime).
