Abstract

Coronary heart disease is a disease which the blood vessels that supply food and oxygen to the heart muscle is severely blocked. The blockage is most often caused by a build up of cholesterol in the walls of coronary arteries. In 2012, globally the disease will be the leading cause of death in developing countries, replacing death due to infection. This study aims to describe the use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease patients hospitalized in the hospital Dr. Soedono Madiun in 2011 and 2012, to determine the appropriateness of use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease hospital Formulary RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun in 2011 and 2012 and Guideline, as well as to describe the use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease are most widely used by hospitalized patients RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun in 2011 and 2012. This study is a retrospective descriptive study is a way to collect data on the use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun in 2011 and 2012. Data were analyzed with Formulary and Guideline. The use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease in the inpatient hospital RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun is the class of drugs include nitrates/vasodilators, inotropic agents, diuretic, calcium channel blocker, and ACE Inhibitors. The use of cardiovascular drugs most widely used in the inpatient hospital RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun in 2011 was 16,2% ISDN, whereas in 2012 of 16,8%. The use of cardiovascular medications in patients with coronary heart disease in inpatient RSUD Dr. Soedono Madiun is in conformity with the hospital Formulary and Guideline.
