Abstract
Hypertension is a person's condition experienced an increase in blood pressure above normal, ie systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. This study aims to determine the pattern of antihypertensive drug use in hypertensive patients in RSUD Surakarta outpatient in 2017, and the percentage of antihypertensive drug use in hypertensive patients is the most widely used in Outpatient Installation RSUD Surakarta in 2017. The study was conducted by using secondary data collection method of antihypertensive drug use by observing the antihypertensive drug usage record every month in hospital medical record unit of Surakarta Hospital starting from January-December 2017. The data has been obtained is evaluated by nonexperimental descriptive method that is by way of retrospective sampling of data. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate patterns of drug use used in hypertensive patients in the Outpatient Installation of Surakarta Hospital namely Amlodipine, Candesartan, Irbesartan, Bisoprolol, Propanolol, Captopril, Furosemid, ISDN, Valsartan, and Spironolactone. The percentage of antihypertensive drug use in hypertension patients most used in Outpatient Installation RSUD Surakarta is 40.1% amlodipine. Keywords: Antihypertensive Drugs, Hypertension Patients
