Abstract
Fisetin is a polyphenolic compound has carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties that are proven in vitro. Flavonoids contained in fisetin can be found in some fruits and vegetables such as strawberries, grapes and cucumbers. Fisetin is classified into BCS (Biopharmacetis Classification System) class II. The purpose of this research is to know whether fisetin can be made spherical crystals by Spherical Agglomeration method and characterization of fisetin spherical crystals produced. How to manufacture spherical crystalline fisetin by skrinning the formula using polymer PVP 1%, PVA 1% and PEG 4000 1%. Then added the solution of fisetin and chloroform. The formulas that produce spherical crystals are then tested which includes microscopy test, SEM test, determination of rendement percentage and solubility test. The results showed that fisetin can be made spherical crystals by Spherical Agglomeration method, the formula selected using PEG 4000 polymer concentration of 1% with stirrer magnetic stirrer speed 400 and 600 rpm to produce spherical crystals, weight of yield of 94,1% and solubility 8,8351 mg/ml.
