Abstract

Management of medicines is a cycle that includes basic functions such as selection, procurement, distribution and use. From preliminary observations have found that there are some constraints on medication management of IFRSUD I Lagaligo Luwu Timur to measure the level of efficiency in the drug management of IFRSUD I Lagaligo Luwu Timur. The research conducted is a descriptive research and quantitative data collection is retrospective and concurent against drugs as a whole is done in the installation of I Lagaligo Luwu Timur Hospital pharmacy 2012. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected by observations and interviews with IFRSUD I Lagaligo Luwu Timur official. The drug management efficiency was measured using indicators of Indonesia Monitoring Health (2002) and WHO (1993), described priority plan based on analysis using the Hanlon method. The results showed that the drug management of IFRSUD I Lagaligo Luwu Timur IFRS not development efficient at all stages of the drug management. Analysis of the priority development action plan by Hanlon method were ; drug selection must have the essential medicine should bge based on DOEN which refers to the use of generic drugs, perform a selective drug plan that adheres to the effective, safe, economical, rational and correction by the ABC-VEN method in the hospital, inventory planning using the EOQ, perform the storage system with FEFO/FIFO and make improvements to the recording/stock control, applying again by re-activating control drug with card to reduce medication discrepancies with the inventory check at the pharmacy department, improve of drug distribution supplies in the drug purchase.
