Abstract
Fast disintegrating tablets ( FDT ) is a tablet which is placed in the mouth, crushed or dissolved less than 60 seconds by liquid saliva without the need of water and provide fast action. Ascetical a class of anti-inflammatory analgesic drugs NSAIDs, FDT asetosal is one example of alternative preparation to get the drug action is fast and convenient to use. This research aims to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of Ac-Di-Sol® and effervescent component of the physical properties of a good tablet. In this research is made with a combination of five formula FDT superdisintegrant Ac-Di-Sol® and effervescent components in a variety of different concentrations by the method of direct felts. Tests conducted on the physical properties of powders, tablets and drug release. Dissolution test was performed using apparatus II USP models by speed of mix 100 rpm with 0.1 N HCl medium temperature of 37 ± 0.5 ° C. The results of research showed the influence Ac-Di-Sol® and effervescent component of the physical properties of the tablet, disintegration time and dissolution release profile FDT acetosal tablet. Increased concentration effervescent component can accelerate tablet disintegration time and speed up the release of tablet dissolution. Ac-Di-Sol® elevated concentrations can increase hardness and reduce brittleness but decreased disintegration time and dissolution rate of tablets. Formula 1 with the proportion Ac-Di-Sol® and effervescent component (2mg : 12mg) is a formula that has the most excellent physical properties.
