Abstract

Examination of the number of leulocytes is one of the support examination to identify the movement of white blood counts responsible for immunity of human body. The most used method and considered to be the most effective method is an Electrical Impedance method, but there are many laboratories still using manual method. There have been research to make a comparission between Electrical Impedance and manual leulocytes counts . This type of analytical observational research with Cross Sectional approach and the collection of samples are either simple random sampling as much as 309 samples with a population of 2,679 people. Inspection results number of leukocytes with Electrical Impedance method and manual methods are tested using the Wilcoxon test statistic is calculated with SPSS 17. The conclusions of this research the results of test of Wilcoxon asymp-value sig. (2-tailed) of 0,604 > 0,05, meaning that there is no meaningful difference to the end result examination of leukocytes between Electrical Impedance method with Manual methods.
