Abstract
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is odorless compounds, tasteless and at normal temperature gaseous is colorless. Transportation produces CO gas most widely among other CO sources, especially from vehicles using gasoline as fuel. Volunteers traffic manager (Supeltas) responsible for managing the traffic at road intersections are congested traffic and there are no Traffic Tool Instructions (APILL). So it's likely to be exposed to CO gas is very high. This study aims to determine the relationship between years of service with carboxyhemoglobin levels in the blood Supeltas. This research uses experimental research. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Hematology 2 Setia Budi University of Surakarta. Examination of COHb levels using methods Hinsberg Lang. The data source is Supeltas working in Surakarta with the criteria do not smoke and do not wear a mask at work. Analysis using correlation and simple linear regression, which is looking whether there is a relationship between years of service with karboksihemiglobin levels and how far that relationship. The result showed that the Pearson Correlatoin 0.885 with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000, so (p) <0.05 and the regression equation was y = 0.605 + 0,021x. It can be concluded that the period of employment and COHb levels have a positive correlation and no correlation between years of service with carboxyhemoglobin levels in the blood of volunteers in Surakarta traffic control. Highest levels of COHb was 1.30% with a service life of twenty-five years and the lowest COHb levels of 0.63% with a service life of three years.
