Abstract
Evaluation of the use of the drug is expected by the various parties, both by physicians, pharmacists, and patients. This evaluation is expected to improve the quality of life of patients in the use of drugs that reduced the death rate. In order to know the rational use of drugs is necessary to do research on the evaluation of drug use in hospitalized patients Klaten Hospital in 2011 and 2012, seen from the type of antihypertensive used and the quantity used and to determine their suitability based formulary and JNC 7 guidelines. This study shows in 2011 with a number of 56 patients, the number of hospitalizations 360 days, and the average LOS 6 days, in 2012 the number of patients 60 to 416 the number of inpatient days, and the average LOS 7 days. Type of antihypertensive used is class ACEI, ARB, CCB, beta blockers, diuretics were then obtained DDD/100 biggest HR ie amlodipine, the calculation changed in form% then dikumulatifkan, will get 90% of data DU. Of the overall use of antihypertensive and formulary tailored to the JNC 7 guidelines. Results of this study are based on quantitative analysis method of ATC / DDD and 90% DU is known that antihypertensive used in the treatment of hypertensive patients with diabetes mellitus in 2011 and 2012, namely class ACEI, ARB, CCB, Diuretics, Beta Blockers. Drug in the DU 90% bracket in 2011 is 49.02% CCB amlodipine, captopril 15.55%, 12.25% Furosemide, Valsartan 9.15, Nifedipine 4.20%, 4.44% HCT 2012 is class ACEI captopril 36.20%, 28.91% amlodipine, valsartan 21.18%, 7.00% Furosemide. Patterns of use of antihypertensives in Klaten Hospital in 2011 and 2012 has not changed. Antihypertensive item complies with the hospital formulary in 2011 amounted to 72.72%, 2012 was 62.62% and compliance with JNC 7 guidelines in 2011 amounted to 90.90%, 2012 was 91.67%.
