Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is can caused by a defect in pancreatic β cells. Talok leaves has been studied in terms of the antidiabetic activity. The content of flavonoids in the leaf talok to guess can repair damaged pancreatic β cells. This research aims to determine the effect of combination talok leaves infuseglibenclamide and talok leaves infuse-metformin in lowering blood glucose levels in white mice strains Balb/c alloxan induced. This research uses induction test diabetogenic, alloxan monohydrate 100 mg / kg bw. Animals test were used in this tesearch were male white mice strains Balb/c many as 100 were divided into 10 groups of treatment is, negative control (distilled water), glibenclamide, metformin, talok leaf infuse, combination talok leaves infuse-glibenclamide ratio (0,75:0,25); (0,50:0,50); (0,75:0,25) and combination talok leaaves infuse-metformin ratio (0,75:0,25); (0,50:0,50); (0,75:0,25) for 7 days. The results of blood glucose levels seen using glukometer. The results obtained were analyzed using one way ANOVA and Tukey HSD or Dunett T3. The results showed that talok leaf infuse, combination talok leaves infusemetformin, and combination talok leaves infuse-glibenclamide had antidiabetic activity. Antidiabetic activity combination talok leaves infuse-metformin were comparable to single metformin and combination talok leaves infuseglibenclamide were comparable to single glibenklamide. So combination talok leaves infuse-metformin and talok leaves infuse-glibenclamide could replace permited single oral antidiabetic in lowering blood glucose levels.
