Abstract

Putri malu herb (Mimosa pudica L.) and ekor kucing flower (Acalypha hispida Burm.f.) can be used as urine emetic (diuretic). This research aims to know the diuretic effect of combination infusa herb putri malu and ekor kucing flower in white male mice wistar strain. Animal tests used as many as 35 tail, which are divided into 7 treatment groups those are : furosemid suspension dose of 2,16 mg / 200 g WB (positive control), 1 % PVP suspension dose of 3 ml / 200 g WB, infusa putri malu herb 100 mg / 200 g WB, infusa ekor kucing flower 180 mg / 200 g WB, infusa putri malu herb and ekor kucing flower (50 mg : 90 mg) / 200 g WB, infusa putri malu herb and ekor kucing flower (25 mg : 135 mg) / 200 g WB, infusa putri malu herb and ekor kucing flower (75 mg : 45mg) / 200 g WB given orally with volume of 3 ml / 200 g WB. Then the urine volume are recorde at 6th, 12th and 24th hour. The diuretic effect can be seen from the data analysis results of AUC 0-6, AUC 6-12, AUC 12-24 and AUC 0-24 obtained from the urine volume each time of observation. Data analysis performed by parametric analysis with one way ANOVA (one way variant analysis) and Tukey HSD with 95 % significant level. The Research result obtained that combination infusa putri malu herb and ekor kucing flower has diuretic effect. The most effective dosis are combination infusa putri malu herb and ekor kucing flower (25 mg : 135 mg) / 200 g WB.
