Abstract

Malaria is an infectious disease because of Plasmodium parasites that are transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. Malaria infection causes a decrease in hemoglobin levels which is the most common clinical manifestation and is play an important role in malaria morbidity and mortality. The type of parasite that causes malaria can affect the large decrease in hemoglobin levels. The purpose of this study was to look at prevalence study of Plasmodium falcifarum and Plasmodium vivax and Hb levels in Malaria patients at Puskesmas Nggongi Districk Karera of NTT Province. The research method used is analytical research method Cross Sectional, inspection method used with Hb examination using sahli way. Data analysis method used is Chi square. The results of the Chi Square test showed the type of parasite that causes malaria in humans, both men and women have a significant value of 0.035 and 0.005, the percentage of malaria sufferers caused Plasmodium falcifarum has a percentage 87,5%, whereas percentage of malaria sufferers caused Plasmodium vivax as a percentage 12,5%. Based on the result of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is Prevalence of Plasmodium falcifarum and Plasmodium vivax and Hb Levels In Malaria Patients At Puskesmas Nggongi Districk Karera of NTT Province.
