Abstract

Medical support personnel are very influential in health services in hospitals. One important aspect in the hospital is occupational safety and health management, which is a system of efforts to prevent and reduce the incidence of Work-Related Accidents (WRA) and Work-Related Diseases (WRD). The importance of good behavior to support the implementation of occupational safety and health management in hospitals. This study aims to prove the influence of behavior on the application of occupational safety and health management at the Orthopedic Hospital Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. The research design used is descriptive with quantitative approach methods. The sampling technique used in this study is sampling saturation or total sampling, with a population of all medical support staff at Orthopedic Hospital Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta as many as 149 respondents and successfully collected as many as 105 respondents questionnaires. Data analysis using simple linear regression test, the coefficient of determination test (R²) and the significance of the regression coefficient test (t test). The results showed the influence of the behavior of medical support personnel on the application of occupational safety and health management with a value of 8.631 t count> t table 1.983 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 probability, so it can be concluded that behavior affects the application of occupational health and safety management, in the sense that the better the behavior of medical support personnel in the application of occupational safety and health management, the more the maximum service and increase work productivity.
