Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of job stress and job control in mediating the relationship between work-family conflict on employee job satisfaction. Employee job satisfaction is very influential on organizational performance because if employees have a good feel satisfactionat work then the performance can be achieved according to the objevtives set. Other than that, if employees are not satisfied with the result achieved, the organization’s performance can decrease because it cannot achieve organizational goals. Employee job satisfaction is influenced by work-family conflict, job stress and job control. Data was obtained through questionnaire dissemination to employees working at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Surakarta. The research sample used amounted 140 employees. The sampling technique used in this study is the Random Sampling technique. Hypothesis testing is done by using regression analysis with mediation. The result in this study show that work-family conflict has a negative influences and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. While job control and job stress do not mediate the relationship between work-family conflict on jon satisfaction. Keywords : Work-Family Conflict, Job Control, Job Stress, Job Satisfaction.
