Abstract

Vaccines are needed by people in the world to maintain the immune system. More than 50% of vaccines are wasted every year due to errors in cold chain storage systems. This study aims to determine the description of the vaccine storage process and suitability of vaccine storage based on the Ministry of Health and WHO in all the primary health centers of Sukoharjo Regency. The method used in the research is in the form of observations and interviews of respondents. The sample used was all the main puskesmas in Sukoharjo Regency as many as 12 puskesmas. The variables studied were the types of vaccines, officers managing, distributing vaccines, storing vaccines and recording cold chain vaccines. The results of vaccine storage at 12 main puskemas in Sukoharjo District in March 2019 refer to the guidelines for cold chain management. The process of storing vaccines in 12 primary health centers in Sukoharjo Regency in March 2019 is not yet in accordance with the Ministry of Health and WHO because there are several health centers that have not met the requirements.
