Abstract
Alpha arbutin is a lightening safer than hydroquinone. Alpha rbutin mechanisme of action is obstruct biosintesis melanin epidermal with obstruct oxidation enzyme tyrosine and dopa. For facilitate the use of the selected dosage then selected mask. This research want to know whether alpha arbutin can made in peel off gel mask, know various and concentration PVA as gelling agent in alpha arbutin peel off gel mask have a good physical quality. alpha arbutin peel off gel mask is made in 3 formulation with various concentration PVA 7%, 10%, and 14%. Product of alpha arbutin peel off gel mask was tested in organoleptic, homogenity, spreadanility, viscosity, pH, drying time, and stability in 21 days. Data was analyzed using SPSS statistic version 21 program with one way anova and paired test. The result of research showed that alpha arbutin can made peel off gel mask with various concentration 7%, 10%, and 14%. Various concentration PVA has effect in viscosity, spreadability, and drying time. .Alpha arbutin peel off gel mask with PVA 10% has a good physical quality after trial stability.
