Abstract

Bandotan herbs (Ageratum conyzoides L.) is a plant that contains flavonoids which are empirically believed to increase stamina. This study aims to determine the effect of the Bandotan ethanol extract of Bandotan herbs on male white mice Swiss lines. The tonic test is carried out using the Natatory Exhaustion method. Test animals were divided into 5 groups and each group consisted of 5 male white mice Swiss lines. Group 1 (normal control), namely CMC Na. 0.5%, group II (positive control) namely caffeine 13 mg / kg BW, group III which is EHB I dose 5 mg / 20 gram BW, group IV EHB II dose 10 mg/20 gram BW, and group V is EHB III dose of 20 mg / 20 gram BB. This research was carried out by cheating, then noted the fatigue time before (T0) and after treatment (T1). The results of the study showed that 70% ethanol extract of bandotan herbs had a tonic effect on the effective white dose of male Swiss mice strain which gave effect of 10 mg/20 g BW, that is with an average increase in fatigue time of 426.2 seconds. The average increase in fatigue time of each group I, II, III, IV, V respectively is 46.2; 386,2; 287.4; 426,2; 611.6 seconds. Keywords : Bandotan, Effect Tonic, Natatory Exhaustion
