Abstract

Dyspepsia is a complaint or collection of symptoms (syndrome) which consists of pain or discomfort in the epigastrum, nausea, vomiting, bloating, rapid satiety, feeling full, belching, regurgity, and a burning sensation that propagates in the chest. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of drug use in adult dyspepsia patients in the inpatient care department of dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen District in 2018 and the suitability of the drug use profile of adult dyspepsia patients in the Hospital Formulary. The research was carried out in RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Regency. This study uses a non-experimental research method with retrieval of data in retrospective conditions with a purposive sampling method. The research was carried out by processing secondary data from medical record data at RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen district in 2018. The result of this study indicate a profile of drug use in adult dyspepsia patients in the inpatient installation of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen District in 2018 consisting of H2 Receptor Antagonist, PPI, and Antiulcer. The most widely used class of drugs is the H2 receptor antagonist namely Ranitidine. Profile of drug use in adult dyspepsia patients in inpatient installation of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Regency is in accordance with the Hospital Formulary.
