Abstract
Wani ( Mangifera caesia Jack ) leaves is a part of a tree wani that has the activity of antidiabetic. This study aims to know the provision of extract ethanol wani leaves in lowering blood glucose levels , the ability of histopatologi the pancreas rats, know the dosage most effective as antidiabetic. Extract ethanol wani leaves be tested to see their the activity of antidiabetic drug by the provision of induction alloxan . The treatment group divided into 6 group, that is normal controls, control diabetes, control comparison, extract ethanol wani leaves doses 125 mg/Kg BW, extract ethanol wani leaves doses 250 mg/Kg BW and extract ethanol wani leaves 500 mg/Kg BW, all groups given treatment for 14 days and on the day to 15 animals test sacrificed taken organ pancreas to be made preparat histophatology . Measurement blood glucose levels in mice using glukometer, observation histophatology pancreas using staining ( Hematoxylin Eosin ). The results of the study showed that extracts ethanol wani leaves doses of 125 mg/Kg BW, 250 mg/Kg BW, 500 mg/Kg BW can cause blood glucose levels and improve pancreatic histophatology rats induced alloxan. Doses effective 500 mg/Kg BW. Key word : Wani leaves, antidiabetic, pancreatic histophatology, alloxan.
