Abstract

Chinese petai leaf (Leucaena leucocephala) is a plant that can be used as an anti-inflammatory herbal therapy in dealing with swollen wounds. The content of chemical compounds active in Chinese petai leaves are alkaloids, saponins, tannins and flavonoids. The purpose of this study is to find out total flavonoid levels in Chinese petai leaf powder and the Fabaceae Family. Research on determining total flavonoids in Chinese petai leaf powder is carried out experimentally in the laboratory with the uv-vis spectrophotometry method. While the determination of the total flavonoid levels Familia Fabaceae using secondary data (journal reviews). Based on the complex forming reactions with AlCl3 observed, Maximum operating time and wavelength data are obtained from standard solution reactions quercetin. Determination of total flavonoid levels was calculated using linear regression, with quercetin standards as standard curves. From the results obtained in this study were total flavonoid levels in leaf powder Chinese coffees by 1,91%. While in the Fabaceae Family with a range of 1,643 mg/g QE to 243,2029 mg/g QE.
