Abstract
Indonesia has the largest biodiversity in the world. One of the tribes that use medicinal plants is the Samin tribe, but its utilization has not been well recorded. Ethnopharmacy is a scientific approach to determine the use of medicinal plants by the Samin Tribe. The research objective was to determine the plants for analgesics and antipyretics used, how to manufacture and use based on UV (Use Value) and ICF (Informant Concentus Factor) and literature studies by the Samin Tribe community. The sampling method using the snowball sampling method is followed by the interview method with the open-ended interview technique. Then a literature study is conducted from the interview data reinforced with literature such as journals or books. Data analysis included UV and ICF values. Twelve samples were obtained, 12 diseases and 45 plants. Making traditional medicines by boiling, pounding, and steaming used orally or topically. The highest ICF value for analgesic category is menstrual pain and dizziness which is 0.66 and for antipyretic fever and heat in 1. The plant with the highest UV value is turmeric that is 1 to treat dizziness and fever which is a disease with high ICF value. Keywords ethnopharmaceutical, analgesic, antipyretic, Samin tribe
