Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a hyperglycemic disease due to cell insensitivity to insulin. Insulin levels may drop slightly or be within normal ranges. Based on the International of Diabetic Ferderation, the global prevalence rate of DM sufferers in 2014 was 8.3% of the total population in the world and increased in 2014 to 387 million cases. ndonesia is a country in the 7th rank with 8.5 million DM sufferers after China, India and the United States, Brazil, Russia, Mexico. In 2006, there were more than 50 million people suffering from diabetes in Southeast Asia. The largest number of DM sufferers is between 40-59 years old. The sampling method uses nonprobability sampling techniques, namely sampling techniques that do not provide equal opportunities or opportunities for each member of the population to be selected as samples. The sampling technique was by inclusion, namely patients suffering from type 2 diabetes mellitus, adult patients, and patients receiving oral antidiabetic therapy. Based on the results of research conducted at RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri in 2019 obtained the results of using antidiabetic drugs in the sulfonylurea group (60,50%), the biguanid group (23,56%), the α-glucosidase inhibitor group (8,28%) and the thiazolidinedion group (7,64%). The accuracy of the use of oral antidiabetic drugs in type II DM patients at RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri 2019 The correct dose of the drug given by the patient was 46 patients (57,5%) and the correct indication for the drug given to the patient was 71 (88,75%).
