Abstract
The management of pharmaceutical preparations is a series of interrelated activities starting from the selection, planning, procurement, storage, distribution to evaluation that must be carried out optimally and if the implementation of pharmaceutical preparations is not optimal it will have a negative impact on the health, social and economy of the hospital. This study aims to determine the process of managing pharmaceutical preparations and evaluating the management of pharmaceutical preparations at the stages of selection, planning, procurement, storage, and distribution at the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta in 2020. This research is semi-qualitative and quantitative research with data collection through interviews with pharmacists and pharmacy staff at the Pharmacy Installation of RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. Data analysis used univariate analysis by a percentage of the accuracy of management indicators against indicators according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 72 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Hospitals. The population used in this study is the entire process of managing pharmaceutical preparations. The sample used in this study is the process of managing pharmaceutical preparations at the stages of selection, planning, procurement, storage, and distribution. The results showed that the management of pharmaceutical preparations at the selection stage was based on the formulary and non-formulary, the planning stage uses the consumption method, the procurement stage uses an e-purchasing system based on e-catalog using the LPSE application, the storage stage uses a combination of FIFO and FEFO principles in alphabetical order, at the distribution stage uses a decentralized method. The percentage results from each stage are the selection stage of 100%, the planning stage of 100%, the procurement stage of 100%, the storage stage of 80%, and the distribution stage of 100%.
