Abstract

Hibiscus plants and red betel leaves can be used as an antifungal against the fungus Candida albicans. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the activity of hibiscus flower extract and red betel leaf extract against the fungus Journal review research methods, research in accordance with the inclusion criteria are then collected and made a journal summary including journal titles, publishers, journal publication years, active compound antifungal activity. Candida albicans is a species of fungus that normally occurs in the human oral cavity. The results showed that the extract of hibiscus flower had antifungal activity against Candida albicans with MIC 20% and betel leaf with 10% MIC.
