Abstract
Hypertension is defined as an increase arterial blood pressure persistent. Hypertension is often regarded as the silent killer for most the patient did not feel any complaints due to hypertension he suffered. The purpose of this research is to know the description and patterns of hypertension drug usage in hypertension patient in Indonesia Hospitals which included correct patient, correct indication, correct drug, correct dose against JNC VII (2008) and JNC VIII (2014). The study design using descriptive, taking sample from literature review by looking at the literature used is in accordance with predetermined criteria. The data obtained were then compared with JNC VII (2008) and JNC VIII (2014). The results showed that the most widely used use of monotherapy hypertension drugs was CCB (amlodipine) and the combination of the two most used drugs were CCB and ARB (amlodipine and candesartan). Hypertensive drug use in hypertensive patients in Indonesia Hospitals based on JNC VII (2008) and JNC VIII (2014) is 96,20 right patient, 99,80 right indication, 92,64 right based drug, 84,26% right base dose.
