Abstract
Acne is a disorder in the hair follicle and the sebasea gland. Acne occurs as a result of the treatment of Polysebasea follicles (oil lines) One of the causes is a bacterial infection of Propionibacterium acne, Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. In overcoming acne, a cosmetic formulation that contains antiacne. Research study of literature is aimed at knowing whether the oil can be made of Emulgel preparations, the formula with physical quality and stability is best and whether a Emulgel dosage can be used in the development of Emulgel other active substances of the plant. This study uses literature study methods. This method is done with comparative research by collecting shares of primary library resources from 9 main journals and several supporting journals. Some herbs that have been researched have potential as anti-acne is Tea tree oil, rosemary, lemongrass fragrance, cinnamon, patchouli, sunflower seeds, mimba, clove and citrus purut. This literature study describes the formulation of Emulgel preparations that contain the active substances of oil from plants and test their activities on acne-causing bacteria. The results of the literature study indicate that oil can be made in Emulgel preparations. Emulgel is a stable formulated through physical quality test in the absence of damage to the dosage form and good stability in Formula 3. So this formula is potentially used in the development of Emulgel dosage formulas containing the active substances of the plant. Keywords: antiacne, emulgel preparations, plant oil
